It was 1991, mullets and permed hair were big and Pastors Jeff and Beth Jones had a God-given vision to make an eternal difference in Southwest Michigan!
On September 22, 1991 with three other adults and four kids, Valley Family Church was launched! Over 120 people attended the first service at the Richland Lodge and when the dust settled about 50 faithful pioneers remained and became the initial core group of VFC.
Over the years, the church has grown in every way! Today, nearly 4000 people attend VFC each weekend. The staff has grown to over 50 full and part-time employees along with hundreds of volunteers. Various ministries have been developed including: Kidamazoo Ministry for kids, en fuego Student Ministries for teens, EPIC Commission and the EPIC School of Ministry for college students and adults, the Family Care Center for hurting people and the powerful Media Tech, Creative Arts and Worship ministry for everyone! In addition to their role as Senior Pastors at VFC, Jeff and Beth speak together as a team, as well as individually at: Marriage & Family Conferences, Women's Events, Men's Events, Church Growth Conferences, etc.

Jeff and Beth Jones serve as the founders and Senior Pastors of Valley Family Church, a growing church of 4000 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. In addition to their role as Senior Pastors at VFC, Jeff and Beth speak together as a team, as well as individually at: Marriage & Family Conferences, Women's Events, Men's Events, Church Growth Conferences, etc. Beth is the author of the popular "Getting a Grip on the Basics" series. Jeff and Beth are passionate about church growth and the power and influence of the local Church. Their focus in ministry is to reach lost people in culturally relevant ways and to equip believers in reaching their greatest God-given potential!
Jeff Jones Bio:
Pastor Jeff is a pastor, husband and father of four children who teaches the Word in a conversational way that connects with the listener.
Jeff studied at Spring Arbor College in Spring Arbor, MI and received his ministry training at Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, OK. He is licensed and ordained through the Rhema Ministerial Association International.
Prior to being called into the pastorate, Jeff's professional background includes working as a commercial pilot and flight instructor, as well as being a principal partner in an industrial lighting agency for 14 years. In 1986, he left the business world to follow his call to the ministry.
Jeff and his wife Beth founded and serve as the senior pastors of Valley Family Church in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Beth Jones Bio:
Beth Jones is a Bible teacher, author, wife and mother of four children, who ministers the Word in a relevant, humorous and inspiring way by sharing down-to-earth insights.
Bethis the author of many books; including the popular "Getting a Grip on the Basics" series, which is being used by thousands of churches in America and abroad.
She writes the free, daily Jump Start eDevo for over 5000 subscribers and has written "JumpStart 365" a compilation of JumpStart edevos to help people start their day with God.
Beth has her Bachelor's degree from Boston University in Boston, MA and she and her husband Jeff founded and serve as the Senior Pastors of Valley Family Church in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
